School phone systems, fully cloud hosted

A fully cloud-hosted VoIP phone system for your school, with auto attendant, ring groups, voicemail and voicemail to email, and no phone system hardware to maintain on site.

Our VoIP phone system runs entirely in the cloud. Calls travel over your internet connection instead of a traditional phone line, so there’s no phone system box in a cupboard to maintain, and your phones work wherever your staff are.

With BT switching off the old analogue and ISDN phone network, many schools need to move their phones over anyway. It’s the ideal time to move to a school phone system that does more and is easier to manage.

We install and support VoIP phone systems for primary schools, secondary schools and trusts across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.

Everything a school phone system needs

Auto attendant

A custom greeting that sends callers to the right person or department, with different messages for out of hours and school holidays.

Ring groups

Ring a group of phones together, such as the school office, so calls are answered even when one person is away from their desk.

Voicemail

Voicemail for each user, so no message from a parent or supplier gets missed.

Voicemail to email

Voicemails are sent straight to your email inbox, so you can listen and respond from anywhere.

Mobile app

Make and take school calls, check voicemail and change settings from a smartphone, ideal for senior leaders away from the office.

Desktop softphone

Turn a laptop or desktop into a phone, so staff can make calls from their computer.

Fully cloud hosted

  • No on-site phone system hardware to buy, house or maintain
  • Only needs your broadband connection
  • Add or move extensions without an engineer visit
  • Works across multiple sites, ideal for trusts and federations

Pair it with our broadband

A cloud phone system is only as good as the connection it runs on. Our DfE-compliant school broadband gives you a reliable line with optional 4G backup, so your phones keep working.

How we get you set up

  1. Plan

We talk through how calls are handled at your school today and design your call flow, greetings and ring groups.

  2. Install and configure

We set up the system, handsets and apps, and test everything before you switch over.

  3. Support

Our team is on hand for changes and questions once you’re up and running.

Built around the school day

A school phone system has different jobs to a business one. Parents ringing in to report an absence first thing, calls to the office at pick-up time, and quiet weeks over the holidays. We set up your call flow to match:

  • An attendance line option on your auto attendant, so absence calls go straight to the right voicemail
  • Office ring groups so calls are answered at busy times
  • Out-of-hours and holiday greetings that switch on automatically
  • Voicemail to email so messages reach the right person, even when they’re away from their desk

School phone system FAQs

What is a cloud-hosted VoIP phone system?

It’s a phone system that runs in the cloud instead of on a phone system box in your school. Calls travel over your internet connection, and features like the auto attendant, ring groups and voicemail are managed online.

Why are schools moving to VoIP?

BT is switching off the old analogue and ISDN phone network, so traditional phone lines are being withdrawn. VoIP replaces them and adds features like voicemail to email, mobile apps and easy changes to your call flow.

Do we need new handsets?

Usually yes, because VoIP uses IP handsets. We’ll recommend handsets to suit each area of school, from the office to classrooms, and install and set them up for you.

Will our phones work if the internet goes down?

Calls need an internet connection, so a reliable line matters. Our school broadband includes optional 4G backup to keep you connected, and calls can be diverted to mobiles if needed.

Can staff take school calls on their mobile?

Yes. The mobile app lets staff make and take calls on the school’s number, check voicemail and change settings from a smartphone.

Do you cover schools outside Leeds?

Yes. We install school phone systems across West Yorkshire, including Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax and Dewsbury.
